Gennem hele min barndom har jeg hørt historier fra Grønland. Min onkel og hans familie boede i næsten 40 år på Grønlands østkyst. Gennem dem hørte jeg hvert år vidunderlige historier om den enorme natur, det fantastiske lys og den larmende stilhed. Billederne tonede sig frem på nethinden, og jeg har lige siden haft en stor drøm om at komme dertil. Det er derfor fantastisk at jeg nu kan få muligheden for at komme derop! Jeg håber på mødet med det storslåede og storladne, det episke. Jeg håber på mødet med det ukendte, det uberørte, det fremmede, på at det vil sætte hele sanseapparat i gang og inspirere til fantastiske billeder. Jeg håber på mødet mellem videnskaben og kunsten vil give masser af stof til en fantastisk film!

“Det er en mytisk kraft, der drager mennesket mod eventyret og rejsen imod det ukendte. Jagten på det uhåndgribelige og det endnu uopdagede. Ekspeditionen med ”Activ” vækker netop de følelser og den længsel i mig. Samtidig har jeg lysten til at deltage som en del af et team i realiseringen af en mangefacetteret målsætning for sådan en tur.
 

Den store udfordring for mig som fotograf vil være visuelt at formidle de mange forskellige lag i ekspeditionens historiefortælling. De mange små detaljer, de forskelligartede indtryk, udfordringerne, forhindringerne og de oplevelser som tilsammen skal skabe beretningen om ”Activ” og projektet på Grønland i eftersommeren 2011.”
